Heart Screens for Teens

Peachtree Ridge PTSA is sponsoring: “Heart Screens for Teens” on Saturday April 28, 2012 from 8:00 – noon. To register or for more information contact Linda Bailey at prhsptsa.volunteer@gmail.com.

This echocardiogram exam is simple, safe, requires no preparation and takes only 10 to 15 minutes. Any child found to have an abnormal test result will be referred to their pediatrician for specific recommendations and medical follow up.

Normally, the cost of this echocardiogram can range anywhere from $900 to $1500 and is usually not covered by insurance. “Heart Screens for Teens” is able to provide this potentially life saving service for $65.

This 40 minute presentation by Telltale Theatre troop (www.telltaletheatre.com) provides practical information for children and their families about healthy lifestyles. Contact Clarita Guigou to schedule a performance at your school; 80 performances will be held this year.
