Angels’ voices sounded

For the third time, the angelicus ensemble from bulgaria gave a concert on sunday evening in the adelsdorf church of st. Stephanskirche. "We always like to stop off in adelsdorf on our four-week tour of germany", said the musical director stelozar galabov, who also led the program.
The vocal ensemble, which will perform on 7. Founded in sofia (bulgaria) on january 2007, consists of six professional singers who have dedicated themselves to church music. In the program booklet, one reads composers’ names such as dimitrij bortnanski (the power of love), dobri christof, modest mussorgsky, sergei rachmaninov and peter tschaikowski, to name but a few.
The name "angelicus" comes from the latin and angelus is the angel. The "angels with the unusual voices the russian, bulgarian and greek ancient orthodox musicians performed on the stages and in the churches all over the world. Meditative byzantine, bulgarian and gregorian chants were heard in the sanctuary without technical reinforcement.
The numerous audience experienced an absolutely impressive, meditative, mystical, eastern church choral singing. Pastoral advisor dagmar haas buried the singers and the audience on behalf of the host pastor thomas ringer: "i wish that by listening attentively to the sounds we can go into the real depths, become attentive to god and come into connection with him."
The sonorous voices of the professional singers, famous in their homeland, filled the whole house of god, from pianissimo to crescendo and fortissimo. Often the basses served as a sound carpet and the clear melody voices moved over it – a pleasure for every listener. "I pray to the power of love or the "our father by korsakov, a musical prayer – all the songs were a sonic experience!
"We are actually all soloists, declared stelozar galabov and every singer climbed vocally effortlessly high and low. The adelsdorf couple christiane and rainer hubert experienced the ensemble for the first time. "I liked it very much. It almost seemed like monastery music to me", said rainer hubert after the concert. "I found it very meditative to sit in the audience for once. I am very impressed that such anthems were composed many centuries ago", said wife christiane, member of the adelsdorfer musicians. At the end the audience gave a standing ovation full of enthusiasm.
