The SEA program provides extended learning opportunities to support the grade-level readiness of students who need to meet promotional requirements through an engaging learning environment that includes hands-on experimental enrichment activities. Students will work in flexible learning groups and teachers will share information in new ways to help your child meet promotion criteria.

Schools have selected students in grades 3-8 who are not meeting promotion requirements to participate in the program

During the three-week session, (June 10–June 28), students will attend Monday through Friday. June 19 is a school holiday. Elementary students will attend the free SEA Program from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and middle school students will attend the program from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This three-week program is free to attend. Meals (breakfast and lunch) and transportation are provided at no cost to families.

Participation is required in order to give your child support to meet promotion requirements. 

Your child’s school will send a registration link to your portal account inviting your child to participate in SEA. Please complete this online form by the deadline to reserve your child’s place in the program. If you do not complete the registration by the deadline, your child will not be able to attend.

The last day to register is May 10.

This year’s summer learning experience is for students who need support in meeting promotion criteria. If you have registered your student for summer school and they meet promotion criteria at the end of the year, they will be withdrawn from summer school.

Yes. Students in grades K–8 can access the Digital Summer Support eCLASS page to participate in self-paced, online summer support opportunities in reading and math from June 5–July 7.

Yes, transportation is provided. However, it is important to note that if your child rides the bus, they will be scheduled for two classes even if they only need one for promotion.
