Gwinnett Student Leadership Team (GSLT)
The Gwinnett Student Leadership Team (GSLT) is a two-and-a-half-year student leadership initiative that provides a learning experience for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in Gwinnett County Public Schools and Buford City Schools. The initiative is sponsored by Gwinnett County Public Schools and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce in partnership with other community agencies, institutions, and businesses. GSLT provides an opportunity for students to develop personal and organizational leadership skills and an awareness of issues facing the community in which they live.

- Develop and instill a leadership mindset in students.
- Develop a cadre of students who implement leadership skills within the local schools and communities through peer facilitation.

Goals
- To provide opportunities for students to realize, enhance, and apply their leadership skills.
- To provide opportunities for students to participate in the local school continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing the function of leadership throughout the local schools.
- To acquaint student leaders with important community issues and challenges.
- To provide opportunities for students to interact with business and civic leaders.
