Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

Improving student academic and behavior outcomes is about ensuring all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioral practices and interventions possible. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) provide an operational framework for achieving these outcomes. PBIS guides selection, integration, and implementation of the best evidence-based behavioral practices for improving behavior outcomes for all students.

The Office of Student Discipline and Behavioral Interventions supports the implementation of PBIS in 104 GCPS schools. PBIS continues to grow and expand throughout the district.
