WISE Research Model

Gwinnett County media leaders have worked diligently to adapt and re-brand the newly adopted WISE inquiry based research model which was originally created by the librarians of WSWHE BOCES and Capitol Region BOCES of NYS. The WISE inquiry based research model is based on the Stripling Model of Inquiry. The WISE research components include Wonder, Investigate, Synthesize, and Express. These components incorporate reading, research and technology indicators that encourage student engagement, collaborative learning, and critical thinking skills.
