Early Learning and School Readiness
The Office of Early Learning and School Readiness strives to ensure that all students enter Kindergarten ready to learn at high levels. In creating partnerships with parents, public and private organizations as well as businesses, we are able to align developmental and academic standards for children from birth to 5 years old and develop and implement effective instructional practices aimed at school readiness. Systems for monitoring student school readiness skills are coordinated with local elementary schools and influence the direction of the work. This office also provides information and resources about child development to all stakeholders.
Coordinating a county-wide strategy for improving outcomes from birth to 5 and improving Kindergarten readiness.
