Families of Students with Disabilities in Private or Home School

IDEA Equitable Services require Timely and Meaningful Consultation for Students with Disabilities attending Private (Non-Profit) and Home School: Ongoing Consultation for the 2023-2024 school year and Initial Consultation for the 2024-2025 School Year.

During the month of December and throughout the school year, the district seeks input regarding the expenditure of IDEA proportionate share funds for the 2023-24 school year.

We continue to seek input as we plan for the 2024-25 school year. You may share your feedback and possibly participation in accessing IDEA Equitable Shares by completing a brief survey. Please click the link to access the survey: Survey for Home School/Private School Families

Based ongoing IDEA timely and meaningful consultation feedback, the district will continue to offer speech and language services through services plans to eligible student disabilities attending a non-profit private school and homeschool during the 2023-24 school year.

In addition to speech and language services, we have a limited number of other instructional resources and materials available for eligible students with disabilities enrolled in non-profit private schools and home schools. You may learn more about the availability of these instructional materials and resources by accessing the letter: GCPS Equitable Shares to home school/private school families
