- Peachtree Ridge High School's STEM Program, SPIRE (Stem Program for Innovation Rigor and Excellence), was successfully recertified during the 2022-2023 school year by the Georgia Department of Education. In addition, SPIRE is dual certified as a STEM program with Cognia.
- During the 2022-2023 GCPS Science Fair, multiple student projects advanced to the State Fair. One student’s project was immediately selected to advance directly to the International Science Fair.
- Peachtree Ridge High School was again recognized as an AP Honor School for 2023 in the following categories: AP Humanities School, AP Humanities Achievement School, AP Schools of Distinction, AP STEM School, and AP STEM Achievement School. This distinction recognizes our dedication to providing academic opportunities for students to prepare them for college and careers after graduation.
- Over 33% of Peachtree Ridge High School students take advantage of advanced placement courses, with 1,087 taking 1,990 exams.
- Peachtree Ridge High School offers students the opportunity to engage in a number of Career and Technical Education pathways. Students are able to get hands-on training in their chosen field and gain industry certification in a high-demand field upon the completion of a pathway. During the 2022-2023 school year, Peachtree Ridge High School had 250 students register to take an End of Pathway Assessment for CTAE courses. This is an increase of 37% from the 2021-2022 school year, when 158 students took an EOPA.
- Peachtree Ridge ranked second in Gwinnett County Public Schools in SAT and ACT scores during the 21-22 school year. During the 22-23 school year, 747 students took the SAT during SAT for All Day; the mean school average was 80 points higher than the school average of the state of Georgia.
- Peachtree Ridge High School offers students the opportunity to engage in various extracurricular activities with 80 clubs, 35 varsity and sub-varsity athletic programs, and six fine arts opportunities with a wide range of levels. Students who engaged in one or more extracurricular opportunities graduate in 4 years at a 98% graduation rate.
- The Robo Lions Robotics Team qualified for the state championship and placed 13th out of 90 teams in the State of Georgia. During tournament play, the Robo Lions were able to defeat the number-one-ranked team in the state.
- Multiple Peachtree Ridge High School’s Varsity sports teams advanced to the state playoffs. The Varsity Dance Team won the 2023 7-A State Championship.
- Peachtree Ridge High School installed a Positive Behavior Intervention Program (PBIS) during the 22-23 school year with the goal of being an emerging program during the 23-24 school year.
