- Crews Middle School has a robust Performing Arts program which includes Orchestra, Chorus, and Band. Both Orchestra and Chorus programs participated in the Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) and earned all superior ratings. One student each earned a spot in the All-State Band, All-State Chorus, and All-State Orchestra. Also, Crews Middle School was represented in Honors Band, Chorus, and Orchestra by having 48 students participate.
- In its inaugural year, the Bronco Bots of Crews Middle School won first place in the Vex Robotics competition for middle schools in Georgia. This competition allows students to immerse themselves in engineering, creative problem-solving, design, and teamwork.
- In its inaugural year, Crews Middle School had a team to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind tournament. Our team utilized their talents, skills, and interests to approach unique scenarios through creative problem-solving. They placed second in the state-level competition and qualified for World Finals.
- Crews Middle School sent 14 entries to the State Reflection program, which is an arts program designed to give students an outlet for creative expression. Five of our students placed at the state level, and one competed at the national level.
- A Crews Middle School student won the Northeast Georgia National History Day Contest. The contest involved researching a historical topic/theme and presenting it in one of five presentation modes. Our students winning work was - Tactical General: Unconditional Surrender Grant.
- Thirteen Crews Middle School students competed at the Beta Club Leadership Summit and placed 1st place, qualifying for Nationals.
- Crews Middle School continues a tradition of excellence by focusing on academic excellence while offering various opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities through its Connected at Crews initiative. Students can participate in 49 clubs and activities that provide them with opportunities to connect before, after, and during school.
- Crews Middle School offers several courses that allow students to complete high school-level coursework and earn Carnegie units. Courses include Energy, Spanish, Physical Science, Math, and Biology. 100% of Crews Middle School students taking high school biology scored proficient and distinguished on the Spring 2023 Georgia Milestones Assessment.
- While students are being given opportunities to Shine, our teachers are also shining. Mrs. Serina Gay, our Sustainable Living Teacher, was a top 6 District Teacher of the Year Finalist. She and Ms. Jesse Kelly also worked with our science enrichment classes and the Garden to Table Club to help Crews obtain the Green and Healthy School designation during Fall 2022. Additionally, Crews Middle School continues to build teachers' leadership capacity, allowing them to shine as leaders. As a result, three teachers successfully graduated from the Teachers As Leaders program.
- Crews Middle School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
