  • The Hopkins Elementary Pandabots Robotics Team won Regional, Super Regional, and third place at the Georgia FLL State Competition for the Innovation Project Award.
  • Hopkins Elementary had a fifth-grade student win one of seven first place elementary awards at the Gwinnett County Public Schools Science & Engineering Fair in the Robotics and Computer Programming division.
  • Hopkins Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Distinguished status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
  • Hopkins Elementary hosted community events that include the Family Fall Carnival, Hallo-Read and Math Munchies, STEAM Day/Night, and Multicultural Night.
  • Hopkins Elementary partnered with Subaru of Gwinnett and received $3000 for teacher supplies, support with family events, equipment for the robotics team, sensory room, and teacher appreciation recognition.
  • Hopkins Elementary partnered with Horace Mann to promote attendance with a bicycle giveaway and teacher recognition.
  • Hopkins Elementary partnered with The Weather Channel Español to record children weather segments in Spanish that covered topics related to weather, meteorology, ecology, and others. Students were able to interact with a meteorologist who engaged them in science conversation.
  • Hopkins Elementary received the CS100 ALL IN School designation for providing computer science instruction for all students.
  • Hopkins Elementary partnered with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to promote the Strong 4 Life program that encouraged a healthy and balanced lifestyle for students.
  • Hopkins Elementary hosted a visit from State Representative, Marvin Lim, where he was led by the Student Council to visit special area classrooms including Computer Science, STEAM, Social Studies Enrichment, Art, Music and Physical Education.
