- Lawrenceville Elementary was one of eight GCPS schools that offered the Early Learning Pre-K pilot and will continue the pilot next year. Additionally, we have continued our Play to Learn program for Birth to Four families.
- Lawrenceville Elementary continues to be recognized as a Reaching Higher Green & Healthy School in the Environmental Achievement Awards sponsored by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. Our garden continues to grow under the care of our teachers and students, and this year it became a community garden.
- Our students participated in technology-rich experiences such as Virtual Reality field trips and using GarageBand to create audiobooks.
- Lawrenceville Elementary received the Silver Governor’s SHAPE Award and continued our support of healthy living for our students by participating in the Strong for Life campaign and Kids Heart Challenge.
- Our music teacher was the Georgia Music Educators Association Elementary Division Chair, responsible for the Statewide Elementary Honor Chorus and Chair of the Elementary Division Council.
- Lawrenceville Elementary has provided students with daily fine arts opportunities and enhanced our program by adding a Dance special for all students this year.
- Lawrenceville Elementary students participated in Georgia Music Educators Association Statewide Elementary Chorus and the GCPS 5th grade Honor Chorus.
- We have continued our partnership with Boys Scouts of America to provide a STEM afterschool program to our students.
- Lawrenceville Elementary provided extracurricular programs for students such as Physical Education Club, Chorus, Garden Club, Safety Patrols, News Crew, Little Kids Rock Modern Band, Spirit Team, Art Club, Dance Ensemble, and Drama Club.
- Lawrenceville Elementary provided and/or hosted successful family and community events such as our Multicultural Family Night, PTA Fall Festival, STEM and Literacy Night, PTA Sweetheart Dance, Easter Festival, PTA Movie Night, Grandparents Day, and various parent workshops.
- Lawrenceville Elementary is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
